unwanted knowledge.

This last week I've learned a lot about celebrities who got fat when they got old.  The two that really blew my mind though were Elvis and... oh boy, it's so hard for me to write... Marlon Brando.  I knew Marlon got kind of ugly when he got old but fat too??? I had no idea.

Here, let your mind be blown as well.
How can this:

Turn into this:

Crazy huh?  If old age can do that to Marlon, I am not looking forward to what it's going to do to me.

Hey.

I'm just sitting here watching Ghost Hunters.  They are investigating the Mark Twain house so obviously I have to watch.  I think if I could pick a dead person to be haunted by I would pick Mark Twain.

Anyway, I've been doing a lot of driving lately, from Riverton to Logan, and from Logan to Bear Lake and bunch of other combinations between those cities.  It's made the days all kind of blend together and I can't remember what I do from day to day very well, it's very disorienting and pretty annoying.  It makes me feel the same way that Hayley looks in this picture...
(ok, so I just was trying to find an excuse to put this picture on my blog, can you blame me?)  All the driving has really made me look forward to the day where I live and work in the same city.  I just have to  actually find a place that has some room for me.  The idea occurred to me while I was working the other day that instead of wasting money paying rent to the man, it would be cool if i could own the place where I live.  But what could someone who earns minimum wage afford to buy?

A tent?
sure.

ooooor.....

A trailer!
YES!

a cute trailer like this

of course I'd probably have to pull it myself, like this guy:

It's not exactly a lifestyle of the rich and the famous but remember how in the movie Thor, Thor's girlfriend also lives in a trailer?  Anything good enough for Thor's girlfriend is also good enough for myself.  I could join the ranks of Jane Foster and bring the stereotype of "trailer park trash" to a new high of "trailer park class".

...did I really just write that?

That's one ugly baby.

I was very bored recently and someone had written on Facebook about this website that shows you what your kids would look like. So I obviously tried it out with a picture of myself and one of Dan Carter (don't judge me).
Here's the result:

My first thought was "yahma hama! it's fright night!" and then I realized that I could never do this to a child.
And so I guess I've finally accepted that Dan and I are not meant to be.
Too bad.

Bear and Rog

I'm not embarrassed to say that I follow Bear Grylls blog.
He updated the blog today and guess what he wrote?
Well don't guess, just read it:

Yeah, you read that right!
Bear Grylls and Roger Federer in the same room together and now best friends, or as a 13 year old girl would say (because that's the way I'm acting) BESTIES! (please don't judge me for using that word or for this blog post in general).

I'm really bored.

So I'm looking for my celebrity look alikes.
I don't think this thing is very accurate, I mean 70% Keanu Reeves???!!!
hummmm...

Gotta clip the lines and move for yourself, just move for yourself, love...

Doesn't James Mercer has a way with words?
The man's amazing.

But that's not why I'm here.

I'm here today because my dear friend Mallory decided it would be a good idea to dress up like a homeless person this weekend and run 13.2 miles.  She also has come to believe that it would be a good idea for me to do the same (except in a different costume) (it's for a halloween half marathon i guess).

I usually like her good ideas (who wouldn't rather go wig shopping than to class?) but I'm on the fence with this one because my running lately always ends at 3 miles and also because I can't think of a good costume.  But then I think about it more seriously and in the crazy insanity of the idea, it makes perfect sense.  I mean, I've tried training for half marathons in the past and they have never ended at the finish line, so maybe this is the only way I could ever actually do one.  Also, I was once told by a wise and fast marathon runner that the way he trained for marathons was to watch Rocky and grow a beard like Forrest Gump.

So maybe that's the key to half marathon success...

...and possibly good a good costume idea?
let's explore this idea:

Rocky

Forrest

Hummm....
Both very inspiring.
and I could see myself dressed up as either one of them.
But I've learned a valuable lesson about myself lately and it is that I shouldn't commit to ANYTHING anymore because I never know what I will actually do until I actually do it.
So I guess it's like what Forrest's Momma always told him,
"Kori's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get."
Maybe I'll attempt and/or finish a half marathon this Saturday
and maybe I wont.

 Only the cube knows.

(ha ha, sorry, inside joke)

all the cool people are doing it...

Oh yeah

(For the record: I'm pretty sure I was asleep when I posted this blog so don't judge me. And yes, I do know that the picture of me is kind of scary, but whatever I'm going to leave it anyways.)

Favorite lyrics...

I can't sleep for some reason so I'm going to share some of my favorite lines from songs that I love! I realize that you probably don't care, and don't get it but whatever :)

I can write a song a hundred miles long, well that's where I belong, and you belong with me... not swallowed in the sea.

-

Don't put your money where your mouth is baby, we don't want to see you choke...

-

I can't give you everything you want
but I could give you what you thought you need.
A map to keep beneath your seat,
you'll read to me in time I'll get you there.
We'll fold it up so we don't find our way back
so nobody knows were here...

-

Since then it's been a book you read in reverse, so you understand less as the pages turn...

-

But your lips when we speak are the valleys and peaks of a mountain range on fire.

Hayley...

...you didn't believe I was a restaurant did you?!

Read it and weep!
ha ha

"For it's regular customers, and they are many, Kori is a bit like an old pair of jeans, comfortable and non-threatening..."

My Car.

My car has a really bad sense of hummor... and it hates me. It's not the best combination. Lately it's favorite little game is to not start, instead I turn the key and my car is like, "Oh! so you want me to start, huh? Sorry, I'm taking a nap. Try again later." So I try again later and I get the same thing over and over again until it's A LOT later and then it decides it's had enough fun at my expense and it starts up.
Also.
I think every bolt in that car is loose just enough that it sounds like I have about 100 empty aluminum cans tied to my bumper. The noise makes dogs howl and small children point as I drive down the road.

Hey car...

Do you see me laughing?

NO!

Not laughing!

This is how I feel about it...

Does that face look amused?

No!

Not amused!

Wow. I just compared my face to the grinch's face. I guess that's my que to stop.

Over and out!
