Hugh Jackman's vein

I went and saw Real Steel tonight.  It was a really good movie but had a very predictable mix of Rocky 1 and 4 and transformers.  I gotta say though, the most remarkable thing about the whole movie was the vein bulging out of Hugh Jackman's right arm.  It was huge and it was there the WHOLE time.

The vein can also be seen here...

and I'm sure you can find many other pictures on the internet of his vein.

wondering...

After being in a bad mood all day long, why does it make you feel better to run until you feel dead?  It just seems kind of contradictory.
Here's another question:
Why do I sweat SO bad when I work out? I look like a man, it's gross. Sometimes my makeup smears all over my face too and I look like an emo man... or something like that.

P.S. I just want to write this down so I remember it the rest of my life.  I was walking home from class behind two boys who were having a great conversation that I heard a little bit of it, they were saying:

"... so the dragon was going around impregnating all the halflings in the village..."

Sadly, that was all I heard.

crazy days.

Remember my last post?  The one where I was productive and I was wondering if I had grown into a responsible adult?  Well, today has proven that I am NOT a productive, responsible adult.  My productivity consisted of going to yoga class, running 3 miles, and going to work.  As we speak I'm proving my irresponsibleness by writing this blog when I have 4 hours of sketching to do for my drawing class and about 1 million pages to read in various books for various classes (all of the above is due tomorrow).  I had very good intentions when I opened up my computer to "turn on some music to listen to while I did homework" but you know how it goes... itunes leads to checking my email, and checking my email leads to checking facebook and checking facebook obviously leads to checking to see if any of the 1,000 blogs I follow have been updated and that leads me where you find me... feeling sorry for myself for not doing my homework (and writing a blog about it).

I guess that's not really the only thing I'm here to write about though.  I also wanted to write about something I've been worried about since I was home this weekend, which is, Jimmer Ferdette (or however you spell his name).  I'm just concerned that my family loves him a little too much. Example: Mother and I are driving up to Daybreak and Mom turns on talk radio.  What's strange about that you ask?  Well... SHE TURNED IT TO 1280 THE ZONE!  Since when does my Mom prioritize what she wants to listen to on the radio in the following way 1- Sports talk (to see if they are talking about Jimmer) and then 2- Rush Limbaugh???? What is going on here??  Oh yeah... guess what else she did, she made my look Jimmer up on facebook so that I could see a picture of him when he was like ten or something and the she says, "I don't know, I just think of him as my son..." So now we've got Erin who is going to name her baby based on some version of Jimmer's name and my Mom who thinks he is her son. These are crazy days we're living through.

Awkward picture collection.

Today I told Hayley a story about something awkward that happened to me when I was walking up to the gym and it got us talking about other awkward things that happen to us.  It was then that Hayley reminded me that I have a collection of awkward pictures on my phone.  So I think the time has come for me to share some of this collection. Tonight, I'm just going to share with you one of my favorites and later I'll share some from my "awkward couples" collection and then after that some pictures from my "Hayley posed in front of things" collection.

DISCLAIMER: Hayley and I were also discussing that most of the time other people don't understand our sense of humor.  So sorry if you don't think this is funny at all... but I guess it's not possible for everyone to have sense of humors as refined and classy as ours.

Food handler's permit

Since I get to work with food these days, I had to get a food handler's permit. I took the online course and I had a hard time taking it seriously.
Look at some of the pictures they used:

Who gets paid to make these things???
Did they really have to put in the picture of cartoon people at a funeral? I know they're trying to make me feel how serious it is to follow the food safety guidelines (and maybe shed a tear) but the picture made me laugh when it popped onto the screen...
so....
mission NOT accomplished FDA (or whoever made this course).

I guess I could have a rock in place of a heart, or maybe, I'm a little beyond the level of a three year old who needs visual aids to understand simple concepts and sentences.

That's all I have to say about that.

le moustache...

I found this blog and I love it. I think she makes a good point about Ke$ha and speedo's but I have to disagree with her on the mustache topic. Brandon Flower's has a lovely mustache.
Check it out...
Lovely isn't it?
Umm,
I think this is my most pointless blog yet!
Oh well.

P.S.
I'm going to Bear Lake if a few hours! yesahh!

this movie is weird

Me, Spencer, and Hayley are watching The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus... it's pretty weird... I think it's like a modern day "Labyrinth" or something. You know that creepy movie with David Bowie?

But anyways ...
I was just stopping in to say hi, so hi!
I hope you're doing well.
I'll talk to you tomorrow :)

May 14, 2010

Hayley told me not to post this but I'm going to anyway.

Am I the only one who thinks pregnancy pictures are awkward?
Seriously, this fad is weird to me. It doesn't look cute or anything, just fat.
At least cover yourself up-- for the sake of...... well, for my sake.... and I know at least two other people who feel the same way.
(ew)
Please.
(ew)
Thank you.

State of the Union Address

(WARNING: The following contains material that may be offensive to smarter readers. Discretion is advised.)

I, the Commander and Chief of the United States of Kori, write this address in response to the rumors of surrender in our war on the fat invading our fair, and sovereign states. Yes it is true that we lost battles this weekend to an assortment of cookies, red velvet cake, and cream puffs but as Winston Churchill said, "we must learn to be equally good at what is short and sharp and what is long and tough." We first thought this war would be the former, but now it is evident that it will be the latter.

Long and Tough.

In truth, history has proved that the U.S.K. is kind of slow in the head so we think it is safe to say that, with time on our side, we can win this war!

(...what can I say? It's not like I'm on the biggest loser, so don't judge...)

April 17, 2010

Ok, I think it's great when people wear stuff that's out of the ordinary, but these are a little extreme. Who wears this stuff? Someone must or else they wouldn't be selling it right? The black ballet boots are the absolute weirdest things I've ever seen in my life.
