Grandma's 80th Birthday/General Conference

So this past weekend was my Grandma's 80th birthday and we had a party for her in our backyard.  The weather was perfect and the food was delicious.

We played paralysis

I was the cat tamer. The picture below was taken seconds before a Siegfried and Roy incident where I almost got my eyes clawed out.

Also, it was General Conference weekend and it snowed about 7 inches which was kind of depressing after the warm day on Friday. Spencer couldn't stay warm so we wrapped him up like a Mexican burrito.  Without beans of course.

So anyways, I'm sitting in the Engineering building waiting for my next class to start and there is a tv showing Obama vomiting something he would call a briefing.  I'm so annoyed with everything right now, I think it's because my stress has finally reached a peak and I can't really do anything about it for a while.  Mallory and I tried to angry dance it out yesterday (if you don't know what I'm talking about watch the video below)... it helped for a while but the stress is back now.  So I've gone back to my usual methods of dealing with stress, none of which are very helpful or productive.
Here are some examples: over-eating, blogging, not going to the gym, unconsciously holding my breath, buying things I don't need, and making rude and sarcastic comments about people on campus to myself (thanks to the 3 people walking around campus today without shoes or socks on for providing material for this!).

Ok, sorry, I'm done now.
And no, I didn't write this up in a tree with Robert Pattinson.

The reason why they were bare foot because today is barefoot day. People did it to raise awareness for poor kids who don't have shoes. FYI. :)

  2. Soo many things about this post that I love---that you guys were playing "paralyzed" (can you imagine ACTUALLY playing that with a paralyzed person?) haha, your picture with the cat, and the fact that we actually thought we'd handle our stress up in the moutains will killer music. It did work for a while. But yeah, we'd probably have to do it a couple of times a day to keep the stress out of our lives. haha Wow. Long comment. Stopping
