the fourth

Here are some pictures from the fourth of July.
I can't believe it was three weeks ago, it feels like yesterday!

sepia toned lovin

My Grandpa recently scanned all of the almost 500 pages of a book his Dad made.  I've been trying to help him out and make a slide show of the pictures and I gotta say that I have really been enjoying it!  It's got some really good stuff in it, like these pictures of my Mom and Kerst... so adorable and funny at the same time, i love it.

and then there are also a lot of old pictures like this one that are just incredibly beautiful...

The book also has a lot of documents, and I really love that my great grandpa saved the post cards that my grandpa sent to him while he was traveling in Europe.
I'm such a sucker for this kind of stuff.

life in pictures

One of my New Years resolutions is to take more pictures to act kind of in the place of a journal.  I think it's a good idea because I'm more of a visual person and because I suck at writing in a journal.

Believe it or not but I've actually been doing a pretty good job of it.

oh the memories...

I've just been looking at some old pictures in my iPhoto.
They're pretty funny if you ask me.

driving slow on Sunday morning

hey there! I'm just listening to a little Pink Floyd, wish you were here (why do I love this song so much?) I don't want to go to sleep because tomorrow is not going to be my favorite day of the week and today has been so nice I would prefer that it didn't end so soon.

I drove up to Bear Lake after Sacrament meeting to visit my Grandma and Grandpa, I thought Kerstin and her girls would be there too but poor Luci got sick last night and they had to leave early this morning.  Paul and Miriam were there too and it was really nice to sit and talk to them for a while today.  I showed Grandpa my new camera and we talked a little about photography and then he told me that he would let me use his Bronica and the rest of the film he has for it.  I'm pretty excited, I've never used a camera like that before so it should be a lot of fun and pretty educational :) I just hope I can get some good pictures from it and not waist the film.  After that I watched The Big Country and then drove back to the reality of my ant infested apartment (quite the contrast to the cabin).

I just realized that I never put pictures from this years family reunion up there on my blog so here are a few... I guess better late than never right?

ummmm... that corn in the picture was sooooo good, I could go for some of it right now.

Easton is sooo cute.

What else is there to say?

I guess I should also mention he is a good aim when he pees, he nailed my Dad the other day and I hear he has hit Britten a few times.  I tip my hat to you Easton, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Also, I've never seen anyone work the BYU beanie the way he does.
Check it out...
