I wish I was in England.

Last night was the wedding (you know which one I'm talking about) and this morning I woke up and checked facebook to find that only guys had posted comments about it... multiple guys actually.  I thought it was really funny because they all wrote some kind of reference to how the don't care about it.  Really they obviously do care about it or else they wouldn't have said anything at all.  Right?  I'm not ashamed to say that I've taken an interest in the whole thing because let's be honest, it's interesting.  The whole concept of a Monarchy and the class system that the British have (even though it's not as extreme as it used to be) is very interesting to me.  Living in America where it seems like 99% of it's citizens are in the middle class, I didn't realize how much influence classes had in the United Kingdom until I watched the TV series "Downton Abbey".  I don't know how historically correct that show is but it really struck me how the people in the lower class  respected the positions that the people in the higher classes held, but not necessarily the person who held the position. I think that this is partially why the "Royal Wedding" is so important to the British people, it's not really about Kate and Wills it's more about celebrating the country's traditions and it kind of connects the people with their ancestry.  

Anyway... I don't know if I'm right about all this.  

But one thing I do know is that Kate's dress was SO perfect. 

I just hope that it was enough to change everyone's current obsession for strapless dresses which are not so... perfect.

Dear Britten,

Since I am the second oldest in our family, I feel like I should give you some advice before you marry and live with Erin. For both your, and Erin's safety.

Erin is an easy enough person to live with if you know how to deal with some of the things she does. For example, if she doesn't have a job or any reason to get up and SHOWER in the morning, she won't. I know of a time when she went about a week and a half without showering, and I think she changed her clothes maybe once in that time span (which included sleeping in those clothes). The best way to deal with that is to stop it at the beginning, give her a reason to shower at least once a week.

Another thing you need to watch out for (and you've already had an experience with this)is any hair removal product. KEEP THEM ALL AWAY FROM HER. You know what happened when she tried to wax her legs, it wasn't pretty was it? But one thing you don't know about is the time that Erin put Nair on her head like it was shampoo. Ask my Mom about that time, it wasn't pretty either. Sometimes we wonder if that incident is the reason for some of the comments she makes like, "Madrid?... that's the country next to Spain isn't it..." or "Spencer, your depriving a starving country somewhere of an idiot..." So yeah, it would probably be best if you hid the hair removal products up high enough so that only you can reach them.

OK, well I guess that's good for now. I'll fill you in on some other things that will help you in your marriage with my dear Air Bear later!

So as most of you know, my brother is in Mexico serving a mission and, being himself, he broke his camera so I'm sending him one of my cameras to use until he gets home and we put a few videos on the camera and I thought I'd put them on my blog cause they are kind of funny. There were others I wanted to put on too but I'm pretty sure that my Dad wouldn't like it so much :)

So in other news, the wedding planning has begun! I told Erin that she should get a dress like Princess Diana's, she didn't seem to like that idea. If anyone could pull it off it would be Erin.
