Hey.

I'm watching "The Man Who Knew Too Little" with my room mate Natalie and writing this blog at the same time.  I am a multi-tasking master.  So anyway, I decided that I need to document our recent family vacation to St. George for future generations of the Thaxton family to read about and talk about with amazement and probably jealousy in their hearts... or something like that.    Actually, I don't really want to write about it cause I'm feeling pretty lazy right now and either way, Erin has already done a good job of documentation.  So future family generations,
you guys can just click here and view the details along with some pictures (including one of my butt {with a swimming suit over it of course}).
Speaking of my butt...
(ha ha.)
It's gotten kind of big lately.  So I've started the old "keep track of all the bad food I eat" thing again. I feel pretty good about it this time, but then again, I always feel pretty good about it for a week or so and then I give it up.

I don't know why I'm writing about this.  But I don't really have anything else to write about except the end of the school year and moving home and all that stuff but I'm kind of tired of thinking and talking about that stuff, and also, I'm sure people would much rather read about the exponential growth of my butt huh?

Ok, I think that's my cue to stop writing.

Sevens!

Hi! So this is kind of late but I'm back in the 801 from a lovely weekend in Vegas and I'm very much missing the sun and the Rugby. Hayley (Boom Boom), myself, and my friend Alli left Friday night for Cedar City where we stayed the night with our cousin Alex and his wife Allie. It was so much fun to see them and so nice of them to let us crash in their living room for the night (If you read this, thanks guys! you have a pretty rad apartment! I can't wait to see you again!). The next morning we drove the rest of the way to Vegas and (after a little trouble with hotels and Travelocity) we went straight to Sam Boyd stadium and settled in for a long (but not long enough) day of Rugby.

Let me just set the scene a little for you...

The sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud for miles to block the perfectly blue sky, I took off my shoes and put my feet up on the empty seat in front of me. I felt the warm sun on my neck and breathed in the sweet smell of .... well .... I guess it smelled mostly like beer.... but I quickly forgot about that when I looked down at the field and saw the most beautiful sight in the world! The All Blacks Sevens team playing (a better word here would be dominating) the French!

Oh yes! All was right in the world, but as we know, all good things in life must come to and end, and end they did when this guy came over to us and stood too close for comfort to my lil' sis Boom Boom.
"Where are my friends? Have you seen my friends?" he repeated this a few times in a very polite and proper British accent which was completely contradictory from the way he looked. We told him we didn't know where his friends where and that he should really put some pants on.... boys pants, preferably. And so he wandered away.

The rest of the day was so much fun, we bought shirts, cheered really loud during the USA vs. Canada match (USA won of course), danced and sang with all the Islanders when they played Bob Marley, and then went back to the hotel after watching 22 games. The hotel was kind of a dump, an earwig crawled up Hayley's leg in the shower but she didn't scream at all! Good job Hay! The next morning we met a nice Native American man who used to be a marine ("I may be crazy but I'm not stupid.") and then left for home. The trip was great and my rugby love has only grown into something some people might think is unhealthy. Sadly now I'm back in Utah where rugby is as rare as a pb&j sandwich in Paris :( oh well, it was awesome while it lasted!

(I'm not saying it's lost but I cant seem to find my camera battery charger anywhere and my camera battery is dead so I'll add some pictures of the trip later. OK?? you cool with that?)
