confession

I'm trying really hard right now to write an 8 page paper about Alexis De Tocqueville's view of art, literature, and history in America.  I feel like an incredible fraud because I'm using words like "patois"(without necessarily knowing what they mean)as if to say to my professor, "you see that?  I wrote patois in a complete sentence.  I must be intelligent enough to pass this class, eh?"

If you know me at all you will also know that this is not true.

I just googled the definition of "patois"...

ha ha ha!
