Complete guide to Christmas

I'm not feeling it this year... the Christmas Spirit, I mean. I think I can trace this problem back to two reasons. 1) My brother is far away in Mexico and 2) There is no snow. So yeah, Christmas and Kori haven't connected....yet... but we will! We did connect for a while this Monday when the family and I went to a live nativity. It was very cool (cool as in level of sweetness and cool as in
temperature, although freezing would be a better word instead of cool) they had camels, goats, the cutest baby cows in the world,
people dressed up like citizens of Bethlehem, Roman guards, and of course Mary, Joesph and the reason for the season himself! You can't help but feel the Christmas spirit when you think about Jesus
Christ. He is the ultimate example of everything that Christmas is supposed to be about... love, selflessness,
friendship, family...everything.

So yeah, that's the most import and part of Christmas but there are other things that also need to be done in order for Christmas to be Christmas. Here is a list:

1) A lot of food must be prepared in the most fating way possible with some sugar sprinkled on for good measure.*(here are examples. Don't click if you are diabetic)
2) Christmas songs must be listened to and sung "loud and clear."**
3) The halls must be decked and Dad must make the comment that we need to build a new wing on the house to store it all.
4) Erin must find the Christmas presents long before Christmas morning and Mom must get mad and threaten to take them back.
5) Snowmen must be made and Erin must make sure that no snow is waisted during the making thereof. After they are made (if he were here) Spencer must knock them down and Hayley must cry.
6) Christmas movies such as: A Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the animated version), Christmas Vacation, Little Women, and It's a Wonderful life must be watched.
7) The book "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens must be read.

These are just a few things that must happen leading up to Christmas, there is a lot of other stuff that must happen on Christmas Eve and Christmas day (I'll write about that later). So get to it! and have a good month of December!

*yes, this does present a problem where heart health and body image are concerned but it must done because the tradition carries on into New Years where everyone makes a New Years resolution to lose weight.

**Just ask Buddy the Elf, there is no better way to spread Christmas Cheer!

WATCH THIS! it's the most beautiful song ever written.
